Co.Donegal
The county of Donegal was almost completely ignored by English settlers, and for this reason, the traditions and the Gaelic-Irish language have been preserved here. From an economic and social point of view, the wild, north-western Ireland still offers unspoiled areas, silent mountain valleys, deserted beaches, and small villages situated on the slopes of hills.
The region of Donegal has many original characteristics. The wonderful steep cliffs of Slieve League and the ancient mountains which are the natural continuation of the Scottish highlands, have been shaped from the hard granite rock which is the typical rock in the northwest of the county.
What makes Donegal so charming is undoubtedly the force of nature, which has shaped and reinforced the link between the inhabitants and their environment.
